Coachella 2012

All the starts are talking about Coachella, you see pictures everywhere but you are wondering what is really "Coachella"? Well...I have the answer for you!

Coachella is best known as "The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival" ; it is an annual music and arts festival, organized by Goldenvoice and held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley.

The Coachella 2012 line-up features some of the best music of 2011 for six nights over the course of two weekends. Coachella is the hub for the hottest acts, the most down-to-earth celebrities and the most fashionable fans.

I really hope I can find tickets next year because this festival just looks so amazing! If you have any good tips to get tickets, let me know :)

I selected for you some pictures of the concerts, fans, celebrities, parties..

Cheerful colors...hello spring trend!

Spring is here...and so are the cheerful colors! I absolutely love the spring trend, I love matching and mixing colors! And I love all the "flowers style" too! Yes, it can look a little "too colorful" but it is spring, and you might as well pop colors since outside the sun is bright and shining!
If you are a little too shy...(like me sometimes) or scared to look like a "clown"; you can wear your basic black pants/shorts/skirts or your favorite jeans (since they always go with everything) and then add some craziness to your outfit by putting on a bright top or skirt so it can be "more fun"!

Have fun with your clothes!

"I get by with a little help from my friends"

I always talked about the fun things that I do with my boyfriend but I never mentioned anything yet about my friends. And it is time to do so. My friends are amazing. Friendship is such a beautiful thing. Until you get married and before you get divorced of course, friends and family are the only two things in your life that are constant. And friends become your family eventually so it really comes down to one.

I had a rough 2012 start; after being in the USA for 5 years, I had to make big decisions and it did not come to me very easily. When I left France to come study here in 2007, I took it as an experience and I was excited/scared at the same time to see what will happen; but I always thought that I will go home once I am done with my degree. Well...things changed and in January when I had to make a decision between going back to school or not, getting a job or not, staying in the USA or not...things got really confusing and stressing. I have two lives now and I love both of them. It is really really hard to choose. My family and friends back home are amazing, I miss them everyday but here I have my boyfriend and a bunch of amazing friends as well. So the choice was tough but...I had a fantastic support from my family and friends. They helped me figure things out, they took the time to listen to me, dry my tears from time to time and always let me know that they will be there for me, no matter what.

Your life will always be filled with challenges but it is important to always be thankful for what you have and be thankful for the people who surround you. Remember that happiness is a journey, not a destination. I have been blessed with great friends in my life and I could not be more thankful for that.

“A good friend is a connection to life, a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane world.”

Let's pop champagne

I know Champagne can be very expensive but sometimes you deserve a very, very good drink. So why not go buy some champagne and make yourself the best drink ever... because you deserve it. Yes you do. Work is hard. Life is not always easy. You need to treat yourself now and then.

Back to fall trend..Plaid shirt

Today I am doing a little "flashback" to the fall trend since I am pushing the fall trend to the spring one. I know it is spring and the temperatures are getting warmer. Very very warm in the South actually. But at night, it is still kinda chilly sometimes and plaid shirts are perfect for a dinner out that is not too fancy or a relaxing night with friends.
I wear plaid shirts all the time. I just love them because you can always mix it up; it does not have to be always flannel; you can get plaid shirts that are cotton or very light other material. Also, you will never get the same shirt, the colors can always be different and fun!
AND....the best part is.... you can perfectly pair them with my two favorite bottoms ever: leggings and jeans!

So go get your plaid shirt until it gets too hot, you will fall in love with it right away!

TAHITI

I went to visit my mother in Tahiti. Yes, Tahiti, you heard it right. It is actually a french colony and it is located in the southern Pacific Ocean. Since she is working for the academic department at the university, she got the opportunity to start living there four years ago. Of course, since then, she did not want to leave; the island life is just too good. (map below to help locate this island)

I took a lot of pictures so I could share my experience with you guys. Here is a selection of the best ones in my opinion.
Hope you will enjoy them!
