Superbowl

Superbowl will happen THIS Sunday, February 3rd!
It is time to get your game ON for some fun football and good performances (well depending on how the artists actually perform...hopefully great this time!) or.....just be excited for commercials like me !
I must admit, my marketing/advertising background is kicking in and I get excited to see the commercials more than I do about the game... Well after-all, the companies advertising during the Superbowl spend more than 3 million for a 60 seconds ad, so I am ready to see their work !

My boy already has different ideas concerning the food/drinks (yes Superbowl= boys cooking, it just makes sense) BUT  if you have any other fun ideas, please let me know!

Have a LOT of fun my dear followers and be safe!

Wine lovers....here is a new app!

Hello hello wine lovers, I've got some news for you!
Last year, I talked about the app "Snooth", well this year, the new cool app is "WinePoynt"
Thanks to the immense progress in technology, we probably all have the chance to possess a smart phone, so we can all download this app...ASAP!

"WinePoynt recently launched an app to help make choosing the right wine easier anytime, anywhere. The app, designed by two engineers and a sommelier, was created with expert data analysis to personalize wine recommendations for individual users based on their location and from the information the app learns about the users wine preferences from their own ratings."

This app is so great, it will give you the locations of all the wine stores present in your area and once you create your profile, you will be able to get recommendations concerning wines (maybe new to you) that you will probably enjoy!
You can select the color, price range and the type of food that you will be eating to get an accurate recommendation. It is fun and it is a good excuse to drink more wine ;)

Cheers my friends!

With love,
B-lou

Golden Globes Red Carpet 2013

I want to be a celebrity just for one day so I can wear a pretty dress. Being chased by paparazzi must get old very quickly but look at these beautiful dresses.... THIS never gets old!
Enjoy & dream with me !

New year ... New You? Or not...

Happy New Year once again dear followers!
I hope you all enjoyed the time spent with your family and friends and...maybe also enjoyed your relatives' great cooking skills. I am talking about my own experience here...my relatives are cooking way too well and it is a struggle (for three weeks during the Christmas break) to say no to a special dish or a desert...I know that my relatives are only cooking delicioussssss things... So I just tell myself that I should not feel bad about eating all these yummy stuff since it is Christmas time and it is a festive moment!(just for one day...many days...well who is counting anyway?)

So...As we start the new year, I wanted to make sure that everybody is ready to start on the right foot!

I have been travelling between the USA and France for the last six years, and it always strikes me to see that people in the USA do not look at me (well...only when I am wearing clothes that are "too french") but when I am in France, people are staring at me ALL the time! Not because I look like Angelina Jolie ... (unfortunately for me) but because in France, the culture is very focused on fashion (well Paris is the fashion capital for a reason) and  "the appearance".
If you are over 115 pounds, you are fat. If you are under, you are too skinny. The "fashion country" is fun but it is not always easy for women to fit in.
Therefore, I wanted to write this article about the "appearance" and talk to women.

It is not mandatory to be 115 pounds but you do not have to think that 300 is your best either. In France, too many girls are trying to be skinny to not be excluded but here, too many girls are letting themselves go because they do not think that they can ever be a Victoria Secret model so why bother right?
Well I do not agree. I do not agree with the french mindset and I do not agree with the american one either.
I agree with this one and only statement : "everybody needs to have a healthy lifestyle and a happy mind." You need to take care of yourself but you also need to enjoy yourself at the same time ! There is no need to  go on diet 11 out 12 months.. it is pointless and it won't make you happy. On the other hand, you should try to eat healthy, workout once a twice a week and enjoy yummy stuff from time to time! (Trust me, I enjoy cheese and french pastries way too much to say no all the time)
It is important to find the right balance that works for you and makes you happy. No matter what your dress size is, what is important is how you feel!

So all I want for the year of 2013 is to see girls/women who are happy in their body and are happy in their mind! Do not forget that your body, your mind, your life is yours.. so do as you please and take control!
Remember Beyonce's song...who run the world? Girls! :)
